BIO
Brian Proctor
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada I knew at an early age that the Hospitality Business was for me. I attended LaSalle College and then headed west to my first hotel position at the Westin Calgary. I then returned to Montreal to join ITT Sheraton and progressed through several Sheraton hotels before joining Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. This brought me to the United States at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. From there, I joined Interstate Hotels & Resorts to gain my first General Manager role in La Jolla, California. In 1997, I was recruited to join the upstart Starwood Hotels & Resorts as a General Manager in Tampa, Florida. I was fortunate to spend 18 great years at Starwood in various roles. Career highlights included leading the New Builds & Transitions for North America for 5 years, opening over 60 hotels from Aruba to Washington and everywhere in between. With the sale of Starwood to Marriott, I took the opportunity to look for a new challenge and found it with Bridgestreet, joining the company in February of 2018. Leading a Global Serviced Apartment company allowed me to learn International business methods and reinforced my skills as a collaborator and leader.
